It can be challenging trying to balance to two. Back when writing paid blog posts was the big money maker I used to work from 8am until midnight writing them. I made a couple hundred dollars a day doing so but nothing around the house got done. My husband would complain about me being home all day and not doing any cooking or laundry or anything else. It didn’t seem to matter that I was making twice as much as he was.
That kind of work is no longer available to me. It no longer pays to sit and write from down until after midnight. I now write posts in hopes of gaining adsense clicks and selling the occasional ad space in my sidebar. I also sell things online.
I have discovered that the best way for me to balance work online and work at home as well as a way to keep my butt in shape is to work for an hour and then stop and do something. It could be 15 minutes of folding laundry, ironing, setting fire to a pile of leaves, weeding. It doesn’t matter as long as its 15 minutes of something not in front of the computer. It also helps keep me sane.
