I finally got my first sale in the book store yesterday. Now I have to ship it off, cash out the account to make sure Amazon doesn’t put any blocks on it, and then I upgrade my account and start uploading stuff from the drop shippers for sale. I have so much stuff to put up, its going to take hours and hours of work and my back is going to hurt, lol.
Now on to some neighborhood excitement. We have a neighbor who is crazy. He once lit a towel on fire and threw it on our back step in the middle of the night trying to burn our house down because he was pissed off at my husband. I guess he doesn’t realize fiberglass doesn’t burn. He has threatened to kill just about everyone we know on this mountain. Everyone hates him! A few years ago he was in a car accident that nearly killed him and rendered him disabled for life. That occurred a week after he burned his parents house down (he was living with his parents).
Last night the dogs started barking and when we looked out the window we saw 6 cop cars and an ambulance parked in his yard “again”. I got really excited when I saw officers coming out of the house wearing those blue crime scene gloves. I walked over there and my neighbors joined me as we watched what was happening. We all laughed while we talked about how its the third time the cops have been to his house this week and the second time the ambulance has been here (he overdosed Tuesday) and its not even Friday yet. Sure enough after we had been standing there for 20 minutes they wheeled the bastard out strapped to a gurney. Unfortunately he was awake and talking. I was really disappointed to see he was still alive. Turns out he slit his wrists and then called 911 and tried to pretend to be someone else calling in to report him trying to commit suicide. I guess he doesn’t have the brains to realize they know where he is calling from. He is such a waste of oxygen.
We called a friend of ours who is the supervisor for Counseling Associates (which is the place the court calls when they need mental evaluation). We are really good friends and she rides with us in BACA. She is going to make sure that the therapist that takes his case knows about how he keeps threatening to kill people (just about everyone on the mountain), about the threatening letters he leaves in peoples mail boxes, and about him pulling a gun on my husband last night and then walking across the top of our property line with a gun and a flash light watching the house. I’m hoping he ends up being committed. Lets all keep our fingers crossed.
